Communication Faculty Member
The Department of Communication at Wisconsin Lutheran College seeks nominations for candidates for a faculty position beginning Fall 2024 or Spring 2025. Teaching responsibilities include introductory through advanced communication courses. Typical teaching load for the professor track is 24 credits per year, while appointments in the lecturer track are 30 credits per year.
The position requires an M.A. or Ph.D. in Communication or a related field. Candidates must have excellent communication skills and must demonstrate the potential for outstanding teaching. Service on academic committees and in the church and community are essential. A commitment to active scholarship, which may include student participation, is expected as part of the professor track.
Candidates who have a background in leadership communication or strategic communication are encouraged to apply, but please note that all candidates with disciplinary expertise in the field of Communication who apply will be fully considered.
Candidates must be an active member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS), or another confessional Lutheran denomination in fellowship with the WELS. Physics Faculty Member
Wisconsin Lutheran College seeks nominations for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Physics.
Minimum requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in physics or applied physics, a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching, the ability to provide additional service to the college, and the ability to establish and maintain an active research program. Candidates must be an active member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), the Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS), or another confessional Lutheran denomination in fellowship with the WELS.
