New Students (First-Time Freshmen and Transfers)
An enrollment deposit ($200 for commuters and $300 for resident students) is a requirement of all incoming students and can be fully refunded until May 1 for fall students or November 20 for spring students.
Over the past several years, we have experienced record enrollment at Wisconsin Lutheran College. For students who intend to be a resident of campus, housing assignments will be considered based on the date deposits are received. Campus housing is guaranteed for students who deposit prior to May 1.
Only students who have successfully completed their application to WLC and received confirmation of admittance may deposit. Students may log in to their account using the same credentials created at the time of their online application.

Aspire Hall, Houses, and Apartments
Most transfer students are eligible to live in college apartments - including Aspire Hall, which opened in 2014 - or houses that are within a 10-minute walk of campus. The number of occupants ranges from two to six residents per unit. Apartments and houses come with furniture and full-size appliances. Housing costs include choice of meal plan.
The Office of Residence Life makes every effort to accommodate housing preferences, however, requests are not guaranteed and assignments are subject to change.
Each spacious room in Fischer Hall and Stimac Hall is carpeted and comes equipped with:
- Bed and mattress for each student (twin XL)
- Dresser and closet space for each student

RECOMMENDED PACKING LIST
Wisconsin Lutheran College offers housing for traditional undergraduate students through their fourth year after high school or through 22 years of age (as available). Fifth- and sixth-year students need special permission from the Director of Residence Life to live on campus. As a residential college, WLC requires students to live in college housing through their third year after high school unless they are living with their parents (father, mother, or stepparent) or an immediate family member (grandparent, or a sibling who is 22 years of age or older) within 50 miles of campus.
Students may apply to become a commuter through the Office of Student Life. The Student Life Committee will be responsible for the decision to approve the Change of Status. The decision of the Committee will be final and binding. Students who do not comply with the residency requirements will be charged for housing for all semesters in violation of the policy.
Students living in College housing (residence halls, apartments, houses) are held accountable for the Code of Conduct, all WLC residence hall procedures, and policies stated in the Student Handbook, and added to it in the future.
Students typically move in to the residence halls, apartments, and houses the weekend before classes begin, unless they are returning to campus early for athletics or an on-campus job.
But first, all students enter into an annual contractual agreement with Wisconsin Lutheran College through resident and commuter applications/contracts. You should become familiar with the obligations of your respective contract. Refer to the How Can I Apply For Campus Housing? tab above.
WLC makes every effort to house students with roommates of similar interests and lifestyle. After final assignments have been made, every effort is made to work out differences by supporting and encouraging individual growth and working collaboratively to resolve conflict.
